Welcome to the undergraduate program in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering. We’re happy that you’re considering joining us! We offer ABET-accredited bachelor’s degrees in two majors: civil engineering and architectural engineering.

We provide a top-20 engineering education in an unparalleled environment of natural beauty, world-class recreation and technological innovation. Along with access to amazing skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and hiking, CU-Boulder is home to unique educational, research and service opportunities found nowhere else. Our students can:

  • live in a sustainability-focused Residential Academic Program where their residence hall is also their laboratory
  • participate in service projects in Peru or Rwanda through Engineers Without Borders-USA
  • choose specialized Engineering Science or Engineering for Developing Communities tracks
  • engage in undergraduate research through the Discovery Learning Apprenticeship Program
  • access exclusive internship opportunities, such as the Panama Canal expansion project, through our IMPACT Scholars Program
