Disciplines

The research and graduate study programs within the CEAE department are separated by the different disciplines of Civil and Architectural Engineering: Building Systems Engineering; Construction Engineering and Management; Environmental Engineering; Geotechnical Engineering and Geomechanics; Structural Engineering and Structural Mechanics; and Hydrology, Water Resources, and Environmental Fluid Mechanics. In addition to these well-established programs, students in the department may also choose to study and perform research in the emerging fields of Civil Systems, Engineering for Developing Communities, Engineering Science, or Geoenvironmental Engineering.
