Undergraduate Course Prerequisites for Graduate Admission Before taking graduate courses the following minimum undergraduate course requirements must be satisfied: Mathematic and calculus courses through differential equations and linear algebra. Statics, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, structural analysis. Facilities Students interested in computer-based research will find an excellent workstation and PC-based environment in the department. The Construction Computing Laboratory includes high performance PCs, online data services, digital cameras, scanners and other resources for students. The Bechtel computer laboratory, which contains state-of-the-art computer hardware and software, is also readily available to the students.
